The smokin’ single “Red Pill” was released on July 30, 2020. Co-written with Tony-winning, Obie-winning, indie film director Tonya Pinkins and produced by Grammy winner Clark Gayton, the song will appear in the November 2020 film Red Pill. Its driving bass and groovy horn section, paired with Dail’s sultry voice, create a soundscape that leaves a mark!

And, now, Lucky Magnet Records is very pleased to release this spectacular, deep, mysterious Remix by super-talented Brooklyn-based producer Stu “Bassie” Brooks.
Stu Brooks is a Canadian born/Brooklyn-based bass player, producer and songwriter. His has worked with artists such as Pretty Lights, Mike Patton, Lady Gaga, Lauryn Hill, 50 Cent, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mobb Deep, Mary J. Blige, Collie Buddz, Slick Rick, Eric Krasno, Mark Guiliana, Adam Deitch and Tupac Shakur (posthumously).
His bass performances have played a role in the creation of many Billboard charting, Grammy nominated and Platinum certified recordings, including; Pretty Lights’ 2013 Grammy nominated “A Color Map Of The Sun”, #7 Billboard hit “So Seductive featuring 50 Cent” and Tony Yayo’s Platinum Certified “Thoughts of a Predicate Felon”.
Brooks currently serves as the bassist and musical director for Grammy nominated artist, Matisyahu. His work with Matisyahu dates back to 2009 and spans four albums and multiple international tours. In 2014, Stu co-wrote and produced Matisyahu’s release “Akeda”.
During the summer of 2015, Brooks toured as the bassist for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted artist Dr. John.
Brooks is working with Dail on a series of remixes emphasizing dimension, crossover GROOVE and always, the Fight for Love.

All songs are written by Cat Dail and Teddy Kumpel, except “Player” written by Dail & Kumpel with bandmate/ collaborator/ genius/ guitarist pal, Joel Newton, and “Molly & Matchbox” which Dail wrote on her own.
In the short span of nearly 30 minutes, these 7 songs traverse wild landscapes and private horizons, addressing personal and social pains and pleasures. Is it Blues? Funk? Rock? Soul? Folk? Yes. It’s Indie Music from talented musicians with broad range & big Love. It’s funky rockin soulful indie groove with a female point of view, deep pocket, velvety vox, firm spine. It’s award-winning songwriting and hip-shaking mind-blowing performance!
